Overview
Cornucopia Threads is the studio practice of a custom rug artist whose work blends softness, boldness, and personal storytelling. Each rug is hand-tufted, one-of-a-kind, and filled with color, texture, and emotion.
The founder had a strong personal style and illustrative voice, but needed a brand that could bring it all together visually and digitally. Our goal: create an identity system that felt handmade, artful, and ready to support growth.
Goals
Create a flexible logo that felt both “design-forward” and artist-led
Build a clean, art-friendly website that highlights custom work
Develop business cards and brand collateral that feel tactile and expressive
Integrate the founder’s own illustrations into the visual language
What we did
Brand discovery and visual positioning
Logo design with primary + alternate lockups
Custom brand pattern based on the founder’s illustrations
Business card design for local markets and art events
Website design with custom galleries and inquiry section
Brand color palette and type system

Outcome
Cornucopia Threads now has a brand system that honors the playfulness and edge of the founder’s work while creating consistency across touchpoints from in-person networking to online presence. The site supports direct inquiries and showcases her portfolio in a way that’s both polished and deeply personal.
What made it special
Rather than starting from scratch, we built the visual identity around the founder’s own illustrations, using them to create a custom brand pattern that feels truly unique. The result is a brand that feels like a natural extension of the artist’s hands tactile, colorful, and honest.
This project is a great example of how thoughtful design can amplify personal creativity without watering it down.
